The temperatures are finally climbing out of the cold, cold cellar and soaring to the 30s. This is a good sign that spring will be here soon.
The piles of snow are slowly melting creating pools of water in the farmyard. I guess we can put up with that for a while. The roads will soon be muddy from the melting snow but hopefully mud season will be short.
Last week I planted some tomato seeds that are now keeping warm on the warming mat and receiving light from the grow lights. In six weeks they will be plants that will be planted in the hoop house for early tomatoes. I am quite excited about that.
